Mission

To unite animal law practitioners with cruelty investigators, animal advocates and pet guardians to promote justice for abused companion animals. Currently, the Pet Justice Project is focused on developing these ties with residents of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

Creating an Animal Law Referral Network.
The Pet Justice Project serves as a liaison between animal law practitioners and cruelty investigators and pet guardians in need of legal representation for a cruelty matter.

Promoting Animal Law.
The Pet Justice Project works with law students to research and monitor local and state animal law developments. These updates, as well as announcements regarding CLE’s, are disseminated to interested practitioners and to Pet Justice members.

The Pet Justice Project seeks to diminish the inequitable standards that detract from the humane and compassionate treatment and protection of companion animals by the legal system.

We feel that promoting the practice of animal law and promoting the union of animal lawyers and humane investigators, animal advocates, and aggrieved pet guardians, is a vital step toward this goal. READ MORE!
