The Pet Justice Project was created by a handful of law students and animal rescue volunteers in the fall of 2006. The project grew out of a reaction to difficulties encountered by New Orleans area residents in procuring legal representation for animal law matters.
We exist in cooperation with the Humane Society of Louisiana and with the generous support of The Coalition of Louisiana Animal Advocates.

If you have an interest in animal law matters and would like to find out about legal needs in your area, please contact us. When the Pet Justice Project is contacted for a legal referral, we will provide your information to the potential client only after receiving your consent to do so. There is no promise that services will be rendered pro bono. We will also ensure that the potential client understands that the referral does not create any obligation on the part of the referred.
