On June 2, 2009, a police officer in Wadley, Georgia rescued two female Pit Bulls from their four foot chains. They were in a state of neglect with signs of abuse. Both dogs were scarred and malnourished and were chained in an open field. No fresh water. No food bowl, with food strewn on the muddy ground just beyond the four foot radius of their chains. Multiple Pit Bull carcasses where found in and around the field where Sallie and Ellie were living.

Pledge to rescue these two deserving dogs delivered from neglect and abuse. No amount is too small. Also, if you know of any organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and responsible placement of animals that find themselves in a situation such as this, please email contact@petjustice.org with details or forward this request to your contacts.
The officer has obtained a warrant for the arrest of the owner for animal cruelty (Jefferson County Sheriff's Department Incident Code 16-12-4 Case # is 20090521-194). Authorities are working on apprehending the suspect. Click here to read more about Prosecuting Animal cruelty in Georgia.
